If I could give this book negative 1000 stars I would, no joke. Complete waste of money. I could have spent this money on a dead frog and learned more from it, but nope I will never see my $200 wasted on a book I can't even resell. Clearly corporate decided to cut ties with their editors to put money in their pockets because this book WAS NOT EDITED whatsoever. SO MANY TYPOS AND WRONG INFORMATION. I feel bad my professor got scammed by these people to use this book when she was trying to do what was best for us. It looks nice with fancy new font and graphics but the organization of information is awful, there's no rhyme or reason to it and is EXTREMELY USER UNFRIENDLY. The online program that goes with this book is just as bad, so many errors in the questions, so much information missing and blank data, and lets not forget about the numerous questions you're marked wrong for but actually answered right according to the book or the rationales! All in all: BEWARE OF THE DAVIS MED SURG! ABORT ABORT ABORT!
I had to purchase this book for my med surg class in nursing school. I dislike how large and bulky this book is. It makes taking it to class and studying from a pain because of its size. In addition, this book gives way more information than needed and it takes forever to read assigned chapters.
Book is holding up well. The cover has wear but my wife uses it daily for nursing school. Can't say anything about the content but the book itself is solid.
Exactly what I needed with no highlighting or writing and in perfect condition. There wasn't a code, but I didn't need it. Arrived in only a few days, so I was able to use it for school.
Informative and straight to the point! Well written and it's broken down in a way that was easy for me to understand. I liked that the ebook matches the page numbers in the physical book. I used for my med-surg course and my instructor used the online component to assign us chapters to work on which included activities that helped me understand the content a lot easier. A nursing essential I am happy to have as a part of my home library now!
Had code used, wish that was stated in the description, would have preferred to still have the code, then would have bought the book later in the semester.
book would have been five stars but when i opened the book the pages were upside down and the front was in the back. not a deal breaker but still annoying.
It definitely showed signs of wear (as expected based on the description) but it was intact with few markings throughout.
